ORAL MEDICATIONS
There are several patients that are very nervous to see a dentist. At Sarasola Dental, we do our best to make you comfortable. But, if you need a little extra help, we can also prescribe you some medicine to help you relax during your care.
NITROUS OXIDE (LAUGHING GAS)
Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose to help you relax.
It is not intended to put you to sleep. You will be able to hear and respond to any requests or directions. You will breathe normally through you nose, and within a few short minutes you should start to feel the effects of the nitrous oxide. Ultimately, you should feel calm and comfortable. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off soon (minutes) after the mask is removed.
IV SEDATION
We believe a smile can change the world and that we can improve the patient experience. Many patients are afraid to receive dental treatment. We offer different levels of sedation, including IV moderate sedation, to ensure comfort through your dental care.

Some teeth require addition treatment like root canals to clear infection and pain. Unfortunately, there are times were teeth need to be removed. At Sarasola Dental, We want you understand the diagnosis, the treatment, and the prognosis to ensure you receive the right care for you.
